F A C E

I did this drawing maybe a year or so ago, but now after learning a bit more in Photoshop, I've been having a lot of fun coloring in some of my drawings with Photoshop. I like how this one turned out. It was sort of a 'happy accident' because I really didn't know what I was doing, just playing around and it turned out pretty cool.

All photographs by fashion photographer Ismael Moumin  And drawing by me. I love the crisp, minimal and high definition-glossy feel of the photos. I definitely get a lot of my inspiration for my drawings from fashion photographers. like Moumin. I've been playing around with photoshop. Re imagining my own art with a digital influence.

Playing around and trying to teach myself some photoshop. I have a feeling I'm going to be creating a lot more collages in the near future.

Busy busy week, my school week is only 3 days long, its nice to have a long weekend, but i have  SO much work. But it's all good! Anyway, here are some collages I made this week with polyvore, I love using polyvore to put together different images and find inspiration. Follow me there if you have an account.

LA// week 1

I can't believe i've been in LA for over a week! It feels so much longer. The 1st 3 days I arrived, my Dad was here with me, we saw my family who lives in LA and we visited the Getty Villa! It was so beautiful! I had such a good day, besides being very jet lagged! Monday and Tuesday I had orientation, I received my class schedule and met a lot of people. My roommates are amazing! I have 3 housemates and 2 of the girls are from other countries (Italy and Taiwan) so I feel like i'm getting quite the cultural experience! Yesterday my roommates and I went to Santa Monica and went shopping and out to sushi. Zara was having a major sale, it was wonderful. So much fun. I'm very happy I made this decision to come all the way across the country for school. I love the school (FIDM) and my classes seem really great, I only have started 2 out of the 5 classes i'll be taking…this week i'll start fully.  I can tell everything happens for a reason, and i'm glad with the way things have turned out for me. I never would have thought i'd be living in California, if you'd ask me 1 year ago. Anyway can't wait to post more on here, when I have the time.

new drawings

I tend to start a drawing not knowing where it will go,  and then I get into a trance-like state where all i do is focus on my drawing, it makes time go by so fast.  I did both of these drawings on separate days but looking at them together i think they go quite nicely together. The 1st drawing is inspired by this picture  and then i decided to make a printed background…I like how the 2nd illustration turned out, very tarzan-esque? … :)
I'm enjoying having little obligations/nothing to do these past weeks. I know when I move in July to start school life will be busy! So i'm trying to appreciate this time I have to do some art and focus on personal goals.

Illustration drawing I did this morning inspired by Louis Vuitton's spring summer 2013 collection, the stills are from the check-in, check-out video . I love the graphic checks in this collection.

2.0

Hello! It's 70 degrees here in New York so that's making me pretty excited for the summer and moving to Los Angeles! I used to hate warm weather but I love it now, I feel so much more inspired when it's nice and sunny outside. Here are two drawings I did yesterday, I already posted them on my instagram as I do with most of my quick drawings…but the first one is Ashley Olsen if you couldn't tell ;) I quite like how it looks now, but I want to go in and add some color, and maybe I will draw Mary-Kate and collage them together.

That is a collage by me with polyvore. I love collaging and using polyvore instead of magazine clippings and photographs, it's obviously so much less messy, but than again, there is something more special about clipping and pasting by hand. I guess that's what technology has done. There once was a time when my room's walls were like my tumblr or a pinterest board, but now everything is digital, which i like but then again i don't…Anyway, Paper Watch! so cool I ordered myself this online a few weeks ago and only now am wearing it. You can draw on it! But I like it minimal white.

pĂȘche

Drawing I did yesterday, it's in pencil and prisma color markers,  I like the way it turned out, i'm not quite sure though, i am never fully happy with my art,  but i think that's good, because then i am always trying to improve myself. It's inspired by this photo - one of my favorites.

25 January 2013

This is the most recent drawing i've done…and on the right is what i based it off of. I quite like it! Since then i've adapted it a little bit, i'll have to post an updated photo of the drawing. I am currently working on a few different portfolio projects for admissions into college, i am transferring colleges and it's very stressful but exciting at the same time! I am looking into a couple of programs, and contemplating what i'd like to major in. I am very interested in interior design but i've recently been looking into visual communications which sounds like something i've always wanted to do! So many choices and different things to think about! but i can't wait to start this new chapter in my life.

TOMBOY F/W 2012 Campaign: Julia Frakes

Isn't this campaign perfect?!! I love it, and the fact that Julia Frakes is modeling it automatically makes it 10 times better! The tousled hair, slouchy oversized jackets, big hoods and layers…so cool, it's, like, the perfect fall/winter inspiration.
I did a little drawing of the enchanting Miss Julia Frakes, i just love her bangs and golden hair…. not to mention she is incredibly admirable in so many other ways!
oh check out this video !!
