r e - i m a g i n e

All photographs by fashion photographer Ismael Moumin  And drawing by me. I love the crisp, minimal and high definition-glossy feel of the photos. I definitely get a lot of my inspiration for my drawings from fashion photographers. like Moumin. I've been playing around with photoshop. Re imagining my own art with a digital influence.

AVA CATHERSIDE

AVA CATHERSIDE is a new London based designer with such a unique and cool aesthetic. I just recently discovered the label. The extreme minimalism, monochrome palette, and raw/edgy shapes - it's so interesting. I love the last photo, with the negative space of the neck disconnected from the form of the body. Such a subtle way of approaching minimalism.  Check out this video  showing individual garments being hand cut.

Steven Tai

UK based designer, Steven Tai's work is so amazing. This is from his Spring/ Summer 2013 collection. Love the awkward-looking models. The chic nerdy-ness works perfectly. Totally obssessed right now. His website design is amazing too.

Vertigo | s/s 14 | Mint Designs

Mint Designs is one of my favorites, I posted about their "fashion surgery" collection a while back. The thing I love most about Mint Designs is for the use of self created woven fabrics and the prints are just amazing! I love Japanese fashion, but unlike Comme des Garçons (which I LOVE)… however, I really appreciate that the pieces from Mint Designs are light and have a fluid feel to them, with the bright colors and cheerful prints. There is also a futuristic feeling to all their collections, so innovative and modern.
As much as I love this collection I prefer their last collection . Although I usually prefer most designers a/w collections over spring.

All photos from my tumblr or my pinterest. Here is some inspiration from photos i've been collecting recently on those sites. The shoes are found here, I really want to find a good pair of cut out shoes and I also really love that Bottega Veneta asymmetrical cape on the bottom left!

Can't wait to see everything and embark on this new chapter of my life. Currently out in Montauk at my family's summer house! love it out here, it's so beautiful and relaxing. My twin sister, Eliza, and I  came out with my Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and my younger brother, Adam. We initially came out for memorial day weekend, but Eliza and I stayed longer because it's just too nice to leave! My best friend Katie came for a day, which was so nice. There is really nothing to rush home for! ;) Plus it's 10 degrees cooler out here than home. Starting to finally feel like summer! Can't believe I have about 5 more weeks until the big move! ahh. Well, here are some current inspirations, most photos from my pinterest. I love that idea for a wall display!

I love menswear, especially pairing menswear pieces with more feminine touches. I remember when I was about 12 years old I went through a phase when I wanted to dress like a tomboy, I think I was influenced by Mary-Kate Olsen's character on the show Two of a Kind, haha... Anyway, I love looking at menswear fashion because the styles are so cool and the tailoring is always so incredible. Some of my favorite menswear designers are Kris Van Assche, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Rick Owens, and Juun J. Here are some photos and collages inspired by mens fashion.

Mood board for spring inspiration! In LOVE with the Maison Martin Margiela rings, light soft shades of white, golds, blush, cream and blue denim. I love spring for it's fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables! …  This recipe looks so good. The weather is so bipolar, one day it's 70 degrees and the next it's freezing! I hope it starts to stay nice.

Organic by John Patrick Fall 2013

Organic by John Patrick ready to wear fall 2013 collection is such a nice balance of nonchalance and refinement. I am so in love with the pencil skirts - which shows just the perfect amount of skin, it's so good. The knits and the fuzzy coats and jackets, i love the slouchy-ness off the shoulder. The color palette in every collection i have seen of his is so fresh and the use neutrals is brilliant, i really love how the shades of neurtal colors are paired together, but my favorite part is the shocking bright pinks at the end of this collection! The clothes are simple, functional and thoughtful…i would kill for these items.
