I've been drawing a lot lately, mainly faces/portraits, which i like doing the best. i think i'll start doing some water colors or using markers…i want to add some color. I also want to go shopping, but i don't want to go clothing shopping until the Autumn, i refuse to buy any new Summer clothing. I find summer clothing less worthy of buying, seriously i haven't seen anything i like in stores lately. I'll try to save my money until the Autumn when i can buy sweaters, boots, jackets etc. (oh and thats my favorite Uniqlo post card, i just like it :)

Oyster #98

I haven't posted on here in a while! it was my birthday (and my twin sister's, duh ;) on Thursday! we are 22, which feels old: I sadly still feel/look a lot younger. Anyway! It was actually a good birthday. I always dread my birthday because i put so much pressure on one day, and then when it isn't as great as i wished, it's so upsetting. But i'm glad for the most part it was a nice day. We out for dinner at Spice Market, which i highly suggest if you are in New York, so nice!… seriously go there. It was such a good time. And then yesterday we visited my Grandpa (on my mom's side) in the hospital, even though it wasn't the most uplifting thing to do, it was nice to see my Grandma and more of my family. It's like 100 degrees outside and so humid!  i am counting down the days till Fall, so i can wear huge sweaters and drink hot beverages and be all cuddly … today i spent all afternoon at the Public Library doing work for school(online summer classes), which was nice because of the air conditioning and i finished my race/class/gender Art History class and received an A :) Then I rented a load of dvds there, some that look really good - i think i'll watch Igby Goes Down tonight, it looks really amazing.  Tomorrow my Mom, Eliza and I are going out for dinner to celebrate our birthday! Hopefully later this week i'll get to go out to Montauk for 4th of July weekend, but i don't know yet.

catch some raisinets

These are stills from an early 90's commercials for Raisinets. I remember such odd things from my childhood…like watching this commercial and thinking it was so cool when Raisinets fall from the sky and the kids caught the Raisinets in their mouths just like catching rain drops! Raisinets have always been my favorite, i don't trust anyone who doesn't like chocolate covered raisins :)

it's been raining SO much lately! and i love my frog umbrella, i think i had like the same one when i was 3 years old 

I spent this last weekend at my summer house in Montauk. Even though it's not summer yet, it was so nice to go out there. I actually like Montauk better when it's off season, because there are hardly any tourist-y people and it's so quiet.  I think it's my favorite place in the world! My family has been going out there since before i was born. The sunset is always so beautiful and it's so peaceful. It was really nice to spend time with my dad too, i hardly ever see him and ever since he broke up with his 8 year long (toxic) girl friend ;) he has been in an oddly good mood. :)
